Day 1 | All aboard! This scenic train ride to Montana departs from St. Paul late evening and travels westward to North Dakota tonight. Vacationers not from MN or ND will fly into Minneapolis to begin the tour. Overnight on the train (coach seating). |

Day 2 | Wake up to the view of the prairies of western North Dakota. Travel across Montana, arriving at Whitefish, MT at about 9 pm. Exit the train and overnight at Whitefish (Glacier Park region). |

Day 3 | Start your exploration of the wonders of Glacier National Park. This pristine park contains an unusual diversity of terrain: alpine tundra, grasslands, glacial peaks, and forested hillsides. A visit to the Apgar Visitors Center will give you an overview of the many plants and animals that reside in the park. |

Day 4 | Ride to the "top of the world" on the Glacier Chaser gondola. Breathe the fresh mountain air as you meander along the summit trails amidst a carpet of summer wildflowers. |

Day 5 | Drive the Going to the Sun Road past Lake McDonald, a beautiful glacier-carved lake. Continue on to Logan Pass Visitor Center for exhibits and information on the park's alpine zone. Stop at Hidden Lake Overlook for a walk across the Continental Divide. |

Day 6 | Early morning departure on Amtrak's Empire Builder for points east. Overnight on the train. |
|
Day 7 | Arrive back in St. Paul mid morning (or points en route earlier). Vacationers continuing to out-of-state desitinations fly out of Minneapolis this afternoon. |
