This tour brings you to historical Berlin, once a divided city between the former West Germany and East Germany, then on to the fabulous city of Dresden in former East Germany. These cities, much destroyed in the bombings of World War II now have been rebuilt with fascinating architecture, both modern and historical.
In Germany's capital, Berlin, you'll see the historical Brandenburg Gate, Sony Centre at Potsdamer Platz, remnants of the famous Berlin Wall, and the main gateway, Checkpoint Charlie, between the old East and West Berlin. Then head south to Dresden to tour the massive Zwinger Palace, the Town Hall Tower, and relax on a boatride on the Elbe River. |
